First thing whenever you are removing bumpers / working in the engine bay is to disconnect the battery.

1 - When you have done this the first step is to remove the front bumper, see picture below.

2 - Remove the 3 bolts circled above and put in a safe place preferably not where they can roll down drains etc.

3 - Next there are 2 screws on each side of the bumper located down in the wheel arch these need to be removed. The top screws are easy to remove on most occasions and better access can be gained to them by turning the steering wheel to full lock each side.

4 - The next step is to remove the screws behind the bumper plastic at the bottom of the bumper (circled above).

5 - After you have removed the screws you need to move under the front of the car. Located underneath are 3 plastic retaining clips, these can be removed with a punch; if you don't have a punch you will need to improvise with a small screwdriver.

6 - Finally the last step before you can remove the front bumper is to disconnect the ambient temperature sensor. Slide the front bumper a few inches forward carefully. Just to the right hand side there is a small sensor attached to the bumper it pulls out quite easily.

7 - Now you are ready to remove the bumper, get someone to help you and carefully slide it off. Move it away so your working area isn't crowded and now you car should look like this.

8 - Now the next step is to turn your attention to the resonator box, which is located at the Drivers side of the vehicle.

9 - Located at the bottom of the resonator box are several bolts securing it and a plastic cover to the inner wing, remove these bolts.

10 - When these bolts are removed pull the resonator box firmly and it should slide out. If not then detach it from the bottom of the air box with the aid of a screwdriver. Then you should be left with something like this.

11 - Discard or keep the resonator box your choice.

12 - After removing the resonator box it is time to remove the air box.

13 - Remove the pipe to the Air flow Meter and unclip the top of the air box, next you need to remove the bottom of the air box, it is held in by 3 bolts.

14 - Now you need to attach the new air feed pipe to the bottom of the air box, I used duct tape for this and plenty of it as you need to get and airtight seal round the pipes.

15 - Its now time to refit the air box into the engine bay fitting is the reversal of removal, make sure you feed the air feed pipe down the front of the car when fitting.

16 - Now its time to take the tools to your towing eye cover, a scary prospect with the availability of this part now. You need a hole saw as attached to a drill preferably or otherwise a jigsaw, to cut out the hole for your alloy pipe to go through. First thing to do when cutting the hole for your pipe is to check it a couple of times to make sure you are happy with it. You can mount the alloy pipe centrally if you want to remove the towing eye or do it as I did, which was to move the pipe upwards so it clears the towing eye. When you have decided where you want to put your pipe its advisable to use masking tape before drawing your circle onto the towing eye cover. This should stop the edges from flaking away while cutting the plastic. Choose the closest size hole saw to the bore of the pipe and start cutting it slowly until you have a groove going. When you are happy you are cutting where you want to be speed the drill up slightly and keep even pressure on the drill.

17 - When you have cut through the towing eye you should have something looking like this.

18 - If your luck is like mine the hole will need opening out a little further I did this with a file and slowly worked the hole out to the right size. Now you can insert and bond your pipe into the towing eye and end up with this.

19 - You need to let the alloy pipe set in position. Alternatively if you just want to hide the pipe tuck it up in a location where it can still take in cold air and cable tie in position.20 - Finally you come to fitting it all back together fitting is reverse of removal the only difference being you need to connect your air feed to the alloy pipe. So leave the towing eye cover off until you have finished. The air feed connects to the pipe with a jubilee clip, clip the bottom of the towing eye into position and push the air feed onto the end of the pipe.

21 - Tighten up the jubilee clip and then push the top of the towing eye into position, if you have measured it up right it'll push straight in and you can sit back and admire.

eu personal nu am inteles pana acum de ce sa dai gaura in capacelul de la carligul de tractat (lucru ce afecteaza estetica masinii), cand la 5cm distanta este gura de ventilatie pentru radiator. se poate pune extrem de usor un furtun de admisie.
am inteles ca daca scoti amortizorul acela de sunet (resonator box), motorul capata un "ton" mai nervos, in genul filtrelor conice, lucru pe care il voi verifica la venirea caldurii

din cate stiu eu..trebuie sa pastrezi traseul cel mai scurt si cu cat mai putine coturi...altfel nu mai circula aerul cum trebuie si se formeaza neregularitati...

am vazut la cineva chestia asta,adica a scos plasticu ala inainte de filtru si a pus un fel de palnie care iasa in bara fata .
